APHEA - Greek Delicacies

The new Aphea range from Hellenic Agricultural Enterprises (HAE) draws inspiration from Aphea, the ancient Greek goddess of fertility and agriculture. This collection emphasizes high-quality local ingredients and showcases the diversity of Greek produce through carefully selected and artisanal products.

Aphea's diverse product range includes favourites such as: apple cider vinegar, pickled artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, pickled capers and wild pickled onion heads.

Apple cider vinegar is a popular product in Greece, made from fresh apples through a two-stage fermentation process. First, yeast converts the natural sugars in the apples into alcohol, then the acetic fermentation bacteria convert this alcohol into acetic acid, which is key to the vinegar's characteristic taste and aroma.
