How to use
- Cleanse your skin with a product suited to your skin type.
- Apply a toner to refresh and tone the skin.
- Apply the right moisturiser for your skin type to hydrate.
- Optional step depending on your skin’s needs – apply a facial oil/serum.

Sun protection: Please note that a thin layer of make-up reduces the level of sun protection. In summer, avoid direct sun between 12:00 and 15:00. Always reapply after swimming, showering or towel-drying.

Tip: Both foundations can suit skin prone to eczema, acne, rosacea or psoriasis.
For very dry skin, we recommend the cream foundation; for oily skin, the liquid foundation.
How to navigate shades
Odylique shades are numbered in ascending order – from the lightest ivory to medium tones. Each shade has a specific undertone to match your natural complexion. For easier orientation, imagine them on familiar faces:
- 10: Lightest alabaster, ideal for very fair skin. Think Lily Cole or Dakota Fanning.
- 20: Universal fair – suits most fair complexions. Similar to Amanda Seyfried or Lily Collins.
- 30: Fair shade with a pink undertone – perfect for cool complexions. Think Emma Stone or Anne Hathaway.
- 40: Between fair and medium – suits golden tones. Similar to Jennifer Aniston.
- 41: Fair to medium, neutral with a warm undertone. For example Natalie Portman or Reese Witherspoon.
- 45: Medium brown with a cool undertone – balances redness. Complexion similar to Keira Knightley.
- 50: Medium brown with a warm undertone – the darkest shade available on our market. Close to Eva Mendes or Gisele Bündchen.
In our region, customers typically choose shades 10–50. If you’re unsure, we recommend ordering a sample – it’s enough for 1–2 applications and helps you verify both colour and texture.

The Odylique brand - the name is derived from the meaning "the power of nature" - was born in 2003 and was originally called Essential Care. The whole story began in the 1980s when the main founder, Margaret, started making natural skincare products. Conventional products did not agree with her allergic and sensitive skin at all. She felt there had to be a healthier and more effective way to care for her skin than using petroleum-based ingredients and artificial ingredients. She received her training in herbal medicine and aromatherapy to begin creating truly effective products based only on organic herbs, plant oils and natural active ingredients that would be compatible with the most sensitive skin. In the 1980s she was one of, if not the first, of the early pioneers of organic and natural cosmetics in the UK. In 2003, she officially founded The Essential Care with her husband and daughter, which was renamed Odylique in later years. Since the beginning, its products have won awards in prestigious competitions in the UK, and the product portfolio has grown to include decorative cosmetics for the most sensitive users.
