Lasagne with porcini mushrooms – flat Greek egg noodles (Geusi Vounou, 500 g)
Geusi Vounou lasagne with porcini mushrooms are dried Greek egg pasta shaped into short, flat strips. Here, the name lasagne does not refer to large rectangular sheets for layering in a baking dish. Cook the pasta in water in the usual way.
The base contains semolina, flour, eggs, water and salt. The dough also contains porcini mushrooms, which add a mild earthy, mushroom note. The percentage of mushrooms is not stated on the label, so the product cannot be considered a high-mushroom pasta.
The flat surface holds butter, olive oil, cheese and sauce well. Serve the pasta simply with oil and herbs, combine it with a cream or mushroom sauce, or pair it with tomato sauce, vegetables or meat.
How to use
- With butter or olive oil – toss the freshly cooked pasta with the fat, a little cooking water, parsley and grated cheese.
- With mushroom or cream sauce – add sautéed mushrooms, cream and a small amount of garlic.
- With tomato sauce – serve with tomatoes, onion, aubergine, courgette or roasted pepper.
- With meat or vegetables – serve as a side dish with chicken, braised beef or roasted vegetables and their cooking juices.
Add the pasta to boiling salted water and cook for approximately 4–5 minutes. Reserve a little cooking water before draining; the starch helps bind the noodles with butter, cheese or sauce.

Our products are pure, free of chemicals and perfumes. We dry them naturally in the shade to preserve their fragrance and high quality.
We try to preserve them in their original form, as offered by Mother Nature, with as little processing as possible before packaging.
Today, we grow organic herbs and other aromatic plants with an emphasis on the purity of our products and the traditional way of preparing them.

The manufacturer of our company is Vassilis Karapas. He was born in 1994 in Grevena and studied agricultural development and farm business management at the Alexandria Institute of Technology in Thessaloniki.
He has been farming since his youth, coming from a farming family. It is currently engaged in the production, packaging and promotion of high quality agricultural products using innovative techniques.

Geusi Vounou aims to combine Greek tastes with new models of standardisation and quality control.
Once we have ensured the excellent quality of our products, we want to spread them to all corners of Europe and introduce the uniqueness that lies in this small country called Greece.
