Extra virgin olive oil with summer black truffle – flavoured Greek olive oil (Geusi Vounou, 100 ml)
Geusi Vounou olive oil with summer black truffle is a flavoured extra virgin olive oil for seasoning finished or nearly finished dishes. It contains 97.9 % extra virgin olive oil, flavourings and 0.1 % dried summer black truffle.
This is not pure olive oil pressed with truffles or a macerated oil with a high truffle content. The product combines Greek extra virgin olive oil with truffle flavouring and a small amount of dried summer black truffle T. aestivum.
It has a pronounced truffle character, so a small amount is usually enough. It works best when used to season and complement the finished dish rather than overpower it. Use it with pasta, risotto, potatoes, eggs, mushrooms, mild meats, carpaccio or creamy vegetable soups.
How to use
- For seasoning pasta and risotto – add a few drops to the finished dish or just before serving.
- With potatoes, eggs and mushrooms – it works well with boiled or roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs, omelettes or sautéed mushrooms.
- With meat and carpaccio – use it to finish beef carpaccio, roast chicken or gently cooked beef.
- In soups and purées – a small amount brings out the flavour of mashed potato, celeriac purée or creamy mushroom, cauliflower or pumpkin soup.
The oil is ready to use directly from the bottle. Use it as a finishing oil; no further preparation is needed.

GEUSI VOUNOU "mountain taste"
We are an agricultural business and we grow, produce, package and promote our products ourselves. Our fields are located in Vatolakko Grevena, Greece, at an altitude of 680 metres.
Our dream became a reality thanks to the secret that our grandmother Magdalini revealed to us: the love and respect for nature and its gifts. Every flower, every twig and every root is a gift from nature.

Our products are pure, free of chemicals and perfumes. We dry them naturally in the shade to preserve their fragrance and high quality.
We try to preserve them in their original form, as offered by Mother Nature, with as little processing as possible before packaging.
Today, we grow organic herbs and other aromatic plants with an emphasis on the purity of our products and the traditional way of preparing them.

The manufacturer of our company is Vassilis Karapas. He was born in 1994 in Grevena and studied agricultural development and farm business management at the Alexandria Institute of Technology in Thessaloniki.
He has been farming since his youth, coming from a farming family. It is currently engaged in the production, packaging and promotion of high quality agricultural products using innovative techniques.

Geusi Vounou aims to combine Greek tastes with new models of standardisation and quality control.
Once we have ensured the excellent quality of our products, we want to spread them to all corners of Europe and introduce the uniqueness that lies in this small country called Greece.
