Vlajkový produkt značky Pony-O, unikátní vlasový doplněk a tak trochu jiné “gumičky” pro tvorbu vysokých culíků, tzv. ponytails, vymyslela její zakladatelka Nicole spolu se svojí partnerkou Beth už v roce 1987. Do svých hustých kudrnatých vlasů nemohla používat klasické látkové gumičky - jejich nošení bylo nepříjemné, tahaly za vlasy, nedržely účes, při sundávání vlasy zbytečně vytrhávaly apod. Na trhu přitom nebyla dostupná žádná jiná alternativa. Proto se rozhodla vymyslet a vytvořit tento naprosto unikátní, patentovaný vlasový doplněk sama.
