What is kosher or flake salt?

Recently, the term "kosher" has been used somewhat confusingly, as there are two explanations of "kosher salt". While all RealSalt™ products are "kosher" certified by the Orthodox Union (OU) and therefore approved as suitable for the Jewish community, "Kosher Salt" represents salt whose crystals are slightly larger in size.

Real salt and the composition of human blood

Natural crystal salt like Redmond's is much more than just sodium chloride: it consists of not just two, but more than 60 trace elements. Approximately 0.9% sodium chloride is found in human blood and the chemical composition of seawater is similar to that of human blood plasma in terms of salt content.

Different types of crystal sizes
