Fir Honey (Geusi Vounou, 450 g)
Geusi Vounou Organic Fir Honey is a honeydew honey made from honeydew found in fir forests. Compared with honey made from floral nectar, it has a less floral aroma, thicker consistency and more pronounced woodland character.
Its fuller flavour pairs well with dark bread, grain porridge, plain yoghurt, quark, nuts, mature cheeses and baked fruit. In simple combinations, its own flavour remains distinct without the need for additional sweeteners or flavourings.
In savoury cooking, use it in dressings and marinades to balance the acidity of vinegar, citrus juice or mustard. It also complements roasted root vegetables, cheese and meat dishes.
How to use
- Breakfast – add it to porridge, yoghurt, quark or dark bread.
- Cheese and nuts – serve it with hard and mature cheeses, walnuts or almonds.
- Baking – use it in gingerbread, biscuits, fruit pies and darker baked goods.
- Dressings and marinades – mix it with vinegar, mustard, citrus juice, oil and seasoning.
Before adding the thicker honey to a cold dressing, first mix it with vinegar or lemon juice. Changes in consistency during storage are natural for honey.

Our dream became a reality thanks to the secret that our grandmother Magdalini revealed to us: the love and respect for nature and its gifts. Every flower, every twig and every root is a gift from nature.

Our products are pure, free of chemicals and perfumes. We dry them naturally in the shade to preserve their fragrance and high quality.
We try to preserve them in their original form, as offered by Mother Nature, with as little processing as possible before packaging.
Today, we grow organic herbs and other aromatic plants with an emphasis on the purity of our products and the traditional way of preparing them.

The manufacturer of our company is Vassilis Karapas. He was born in 1994 in Grevena and studied agricultural development and farm business management at the Alexandria Institute of Technology in Thessaloniki.
He has been farming since his youth, coming from a farming family. It is currently engaged in the production, packaging and promotion of high quality agricultural products using innovative techniques.

Geusi Vounou aims to combine Greek tastes with new models of standardisation and quality control.
Once we have ensured the excellent quality of our products, we want to spread them to all corners of Europe and introduce the uniqueness that lies in this small country called Greece.
