USE
Using the included stick, put a small amount of cream in your palm - a little really goes a long way. Press your hands together for a few seconds until the cream melts. Gently rub it into the skin in circular motions. The cream is also great as a skin and eye makeup remover.

Organic Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)
The highest quality butter has a high content of bioactive substances such as antioxidants, vitamins A, D, E, F, K, fatty acids, phytosterols and many other valuable substances that perfectly nourish your skin, lock in moisture and restore the protective film. Shea butter leaves the skin of the whole body incredibly soft and supple.
BIO Sunflower oil (Helianthus Annuus)
Because of its detoxifying effects, it is the second (after sesame) most commonly used oil in Ayurvedic body therapy. It is slightly warming and has very good regenerative effects. It contains high amounts of vitamins A, B, D, E and minerals, so it is also a suitable support for the treatment of problematic skin. It helps blood circulation and forms a suitable base for massage and cosmetic compositions. It also blends beautifully with other virgin vegetable oils. Cold-pressed sunflower oil is treated with Pi technology, which further improves the availability of bioactive substances for the human body.
BIO Beeswax (Cera Flava)

NON GM Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
Alpha-tocopherol, a fat-soluble vitamin, is found naturally in vegetable oils and cereal germ. When applied to the skin, it promotes hydration, suppleness and softness. All these effects are mainly related to its antioxidant activity - the ability to remove free radicals that are formed as a result of various types of radiation and chemical or other undesirable environmental influences. When used externally, it protects skin cells from damage, slows down the aging process and contributes to the elasticity, softness and youthful appearance of the skin.

The story of Organic Essence Shea Butter
Shea butter comes from the fruit of the African shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa). Organic Essence - 100% Shea Butter is made in Ghana by a group of indigenous women who collect nuts, crack them with stones, then crush them with mortars and pestles, roast them and gradually grind them into a paste - all done by hand using techniques and tools that are hundreds of years old. They knead the paste by hand and add water to separate the butter oil precipitates that float to the surface and are removed - then they are re-melted, collected from the surface and allowed to cool and solidify. During this process, which uses pure water, all impurities and dust are removed from the shea butter.
Shea butter of different shades and quality is produced in different regions of Africa. Depending on the source, there are different colours of shea butter, which range from white to golden to dark. Traditionally, women knead the butter into a ball and place it in a basket they have knitted themselves. No chemical solvents are used in the production of shea butter.
INTERNATIONAL ORGANIC CERTIFICATION USDA ORGANIC
Many advertise that they sell "organic" or BIO beauty products, but often this is just a marketing ploy to get the customer's attention. The only guarantee that the end customer is buying an organic product is if the packaging bears the logo of an independent certification from a reputable company.
Organic Essence products are certified USDA Organic and you will find this logo on all of their products. This certification is provided by the third largest certification company in California, Organic Certifiers. USDA Organic certification is the US form of certification for controlled organic agriculture. This federal organization aims to promote trade, agricultural organic production and rural communities, and protect the environment, among other things.
If a product has the USDA Organic symbol on its label, the customer is assured that the minimum organic ingredient content is 95% and compliance with all conditions is checked several times a year. USDA Organic prohibits the use of genetically modified ingredients, artificial fertilizers and pesticides, and other chemical products that negatively affect health.
What this means for you is that the overall production and processing of all Organic Essence products, from start to finish, is carefully controlled and approved in accordance with the strictest standards in the world and undergoes no chemical processing whatsoever.

Společnost Organic Essence byla založena v roce 2006 ihned poté, co americké Ministerstvo zemědělství, a jeho bio program (USDA Organic), vydalo povolení, že zemědělsky pěstované nepotravinářské výrobky mohou získat osvědčení, které je v souladu s existujícími normami pro bio potraviny. Mezi společnostmi zaměřené na výrobky péče o tělo byla Organic Essence jednou z prvních, která toto osvědčení získala, a dodnes patří mezi hrstku společností, které vyrábějí pouze certifikované 100% bio produkty.
Certifikát pro bio produkty je důležitý, protože klamný marketing z výrazu 'přírodní' výrobek vytvořil bezvýznamné slovní spojení. Organic Essence zkrátka nepoužívá žádné chemické látky, které by mohly mít negativní vliv na zdraví a životní prostředí, jelikož nulové množství je to nejbezpečnější množství syntetických látek.
Výrobce od počátku zajímalo starověké využívání přírodních, tradičních přísad při vývoji produktů, protože se o jejich účincích ví mnoho let, např. většinou všeobecně známe vlastnosti různých druhů ovoce, zeleniny a bylinek, a víme, že takový bolehlav je jedovatý. Na druhou stranu, nové, syntetické chemikálie neexistují dostatečně dlouho na to, abychom mohli s určitostí říct, jaký vliv mají na naše zdraví a okolí. Zjišťujeme však, že látky, které byly kdysi považovány za bezpečné, jako např. neslavně proslulý Round-Up, se po čase naopak ukazují jako nebezpečné.
Šetrný přírodní přístup značky Organic Essence není omezen jen na obsah balení, ale zahrnuje i samotný obal. Zpočátku v Organic Essence balili své výrobky do plastových obalů jako většina. Nebyla dostatečná osvěta a ještě neexistovalo povědomí o negativním dopadu plastového odpadu na životní prostředí a zvířata. To vše se změnilo v den, kdy se na pláži poblíž sídla firmy vyplavil mrtvý vorvaň, jehož útroby skrývaly obrovské množství plastů, které pozřel v oceánu...
Dopad plastů (nejen) na podmořský život
"Jednoho rána, při jízdě do kanceláře, jsme na South Beach pláži spatřili vyplaveného, 30 stop dlouhého, vorvaně, který byl teprve v adolescentním věku. Avšak namísto dospívání a užívání si života v oceánu, tam nehnutě ležel mrtev. Cítili jsme nepopsatelný smutek. Veterinář pro divokou faunu určil, že velryba zemřela hladem, protože její žaludek byl naplněný plastem. Toto způsobil plast??? Byli jsme tak hrdí na naši USDA Organic certifikaci pro bezpečnou péči o tělo, ale naše obaly ohrožovaly životní prostředí a život zvířat.
Mít bio certifikát od Ministerstva zemědělství pro nás mělo obrovský význam v podobě ekologické udržitelnosti a naším cílem bylo pomáhat lidem vyhnout se syntetickým látkám. Ale vše, co jsme vyrobili, bylo zabaleno v plastu. Uvědomili jsme si, že jsme součástí obrovského ekologického problému, protože plast není udržitelný zdroj.
Poté, co nám vyplavená velryba otevřela oči, jsme zjistili, že plast je mírně toxická chemikálie. Do té doby si bylo snadné myslet, že plast je inertní jako sklo. Dnes už ovšem víme, že plast vypouští ftaláty a jiné chemikálie do složení krémů a ostatních kosmetických i potravinářských výrobků. Plast se rozkládá stovky až tisíce let, a i po rozložení do mikro-částic nadále vypouští svou chemickou nálož do životního prostředí.
Co nás hodně trápilo byl fakt, že naše značka Organic Essence byl založena na zcela netoxických produktech, bez přídavku jakýchkoliv chemických látek. A teď jsme zjistili, že plastové obaly kontaminují naše pečlivé bio formulace syntetickými hormony a rakovinotvornými chemikáliemi. Chemická kontaminace je přesný opak toho, co bio certifikace a bio životní styl reprezentuje. Museli jsme najít netoxickou a udržitelnou alternativu pro plastové obaly."
Obalový průmysl a greenwashing
Obalovému průmyslu dominují plasty. Výrobci vědí, že zákazníci chtějí dobrou cenu a ekologickou udržitelnost, ale ekologická udržitelnost stojí více peněz. Marketingová reklama stojí méně než opravdové udržitelné eko balení. Proto moderní marketingová příručka zvýrazňuje pozitiva jak jen může - směrování pozornosti na malé zlepšováky a jejich propagování jako velké objevy je naprosto běžné. Podvádění se pohybuje od malých lží až po ty nehorázné.
Báječné slogany ve všech médiích převládají, ale problémem zůstává, že na světě existuje jen několik skutečných a trvalých ekologicky udržitelných řešení.
Organic Essence je založena na výrobě hmotných produktů, které přinášejí výsledky, a ne na iluzi. Sami si své unikátní ekologické papírové obaly navrhli i vyvinuli. Jejich první vývojářský pokus v obalovém odvětví byla papírová nádoba v roce 2008 a posléze papírové tuby v roce 2009. Od té doby vyvinuli další udržitelné eko obaly a dodávají je i jiným firmám. Vlastní více jak 15 patentů na obaly, které pokrývají široké spektrum a potřebnost.
Je papír ekologicky udržitelný?
Významem ekologické udržitelnosti je podporování veškerého života na planetě, čímž podporujeme i lidský život. Hmoty, které jsou živého původu, a které podporují život, jsou udržitelné.
Chemikálie, které po čase ubližují živým tvorům a životnímu prostředí, nejsou. Papír jako obalový materiál pochází ze živé hmoty a když ho zahodíte, vrátí se zpět ke svému živému původu, v důsledku slouží jako potrava hmyzu a jiného neviditelného života. Papír v podstatě nezanechává uhlíkovou stopu (je carbon neutral), protože uhlík absorbuje přímo ze vzduchu. Papír je nejrecyklovanějším materiálem na planetě. Papír nekontaminuje bio certifikované výrobky (jako to dělají plastové obaly). A hlavně... papír nezabíjí velryby a jiné živočichy. Papírové obaly se po dosloužení stanou součástí přirozeného koloběhu života, nikoliv něčím, co jej ohrožuje.
