Usage

• Before the first lighting, let the candle burn for at least 2 hours to melt the wax evenly to the edges – this will prevent the formation of a so-called tunnel.
• Keep the wick about 5 mm long – a trimmed wick ensures clean burning without smoke and extends the candle's lifespan.
• Let the candle burn for a maximum of 3–4 hours at a time, then let it cool and harden before relighting.
• Always place the candle on a stable, non-flammable surface, away from drafts, curtains, or the reach of children and pets.

Studies on the effects of beef tallow on atopic dermatitis and psoriasis

In this comparative study, they focused on studying the effects of a topical emulsion whose main ingredient was tallow. Specifically, they concluded that the use of emulsions with high fat content could prove useful in atopic dermatitis or psoriasis.

The study involved 78 people who reported that the moisturizing properties of the tallow emulsion helped their skin.

Lee et al. also demonstrated the usefulness of an emulsion with high fat and beef tallow content in providing symptomatic relief to mice with atopic dermatitis.

This study also showed the effect of the tallow mixture, which reduced IgE levels (Immunoglobulin E – a protein produced by the immune system in response to foreign substances) in mice that initially had high IgE levels due to pruritus. There was also a reduction in mast cells and B-cell markers.
