Vitamin D3 in a nutshell

• Carino Health Vitamin D3 is made from lanolin extracted from sheep wool. It is therefore not suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
• If you want the best quality and in our opinion the best vitamin D3 from a plant source (algae) we recommend liquid liposomal vitamin D3 with K2 from the British brand Healthstrong, which has in one dose also 1000 i.e. and very high absorption - tests have shown almost 100%.
• As another alternative, we offer vitamin D3 in liposomal dried form in capsules from Trime.
• Both of these micronutrients are fat soluble and require fat or oil for transport. Therefore, it is advisable to take them with food and not on an empty stomach.

Detailed description

In addition to its high quality, Vitamin D3 from Woldohealth is also characterised by its high concentration. One daily dose contains 1000 M. J., which is 25 μg of vitamin D. It is extracted from lanolin (fat from sheep wool), dissolved in high quality MCT oil from coconuts. Due to its origin, it is not suitable for vegans, but vegetarians can use it with a clear conscience. No sheep need to be killed to obtain lanolin.

Vitamin D3 drops have a high bioavailability and contribute to the maintenance of normal bones, teeth, muscle function and immune system.

Vitamin D3 from Woldohealth does not contain any GMO ingredients, gelatin, lactose, gluten, artificial flavours, colours or stabilisers. It is produced, and its certified quality and purity is constantly tested and controlled, in laboratories in Germany.

Vitamin D3, vitamin K2 and calcium should be taken together because this combination helps the body to better absorb minerals such as calcium into the bones. Vitamin K2 is a type of vitamin K known as menaquinone, which is particularly useful in directing calcium from the bloodstream and blood vessels (where it can cause dangerous calcification of the arteries and cardiovascular problems) to the bones. Because of this effect, vitamin K2 has additional benefits for the circulatory system and heart health[25].

For the reason that Woldohealth Vitamin D3 has a dosage of 1000 I.E per drop, but the recommended daily dosage for children under 3 years of age is 200 - 800 I according to Czech legislation.U, the manufacturer cannot guarantee this amount of the recommended daily dose and is required by law to include the information on the label.

• 8-18 years: 1 000-2000 IU daily (upper limit is 4 000 IU)
• 18+ years: 1,000-3,000 IU daily (upper limit is 4,000 IU)
• Pregnant and lactating women: 2,000+ IU per day (upper limit is 4,000 IU)

• The preventive dose of this vitamin in slimmer people is 5,000 I.U. per day.
• The preventive dose of this vitamin in stronger persons is 10 000 I.U. per day.

Why supplement vitamin D?

Vitamin D3 is the only vitamin that our body can make on its own. It is naturally generated by sunlight in the skin or obtained from marine fish. However, in our climate it is virtually impossible to get enough vitamin D from the sun from about September to April, and most of us don't get enough good quality fresh sea fish either.

The beneficial effects of vitamin K2 start inside the teeth and continue to the gums, heart and bones. Vitamin K2 activates two key proteins in the body: the Maxtrix GLA Protein (MGP) and osteocalcin

• Osteocalcin: when activated, it transfers calcium and minerals to the bones and teeth. It is primarily responsible for dental health and osteoporosis prevention based on the benefits of vitamin
• Matrix-GLA: the non-bone and non-teeth benefits of vitamin K2 are mainly due to the action of the matrix-GLA protein. This protein is activated only in the presence of vitamin K2.

This process is called carboxylation. Uncarboxylated matrix GLA protein, known to result from vitamin K deficiency, has been associated with cardiovascular disease. It is also known to act in the kidneys and lungs.
