Liposomal Resveratrol – 30 / 60 Capsules micronised extract • MCT and sunflower lecithin • made in the Netherlands • food supplement
250 mg of trans-resveratrol from Japanese knotweed in each vegan capsule. Purovitalis uses a micronised extract, sunflower lecithin and MCT in a liposomal preparation. Both bottle sizes have the same ingredients and dose per capsule.
- Once daily: take with water, preferably at breakfast.
- 30 or 60 daily doses: choose the bottle size that suits you.
- Plant-based HPMC shell: no animal gelatine.
- Made in the Netherlands.
- Published laboratory reports: raw-material analysis and tests for selected contaminants.
Why Purovitalis resveratrol is Pravé Bio
Our connection with Purovitalis began in Amsterdam. We met founder Koen Ridder at the Biohacking Summit in 2021, the year he launched the brand. A lasting working relationship followed, and Pravé Bio became one of the first authorised Purovitalis retailers in the Czech Republic.
- Made in the Netherlands: liposomal specialist CureSupport handles formulation and encapsulation at its FSSC 22000-certified facility, audited by Kiwa.
- Ingredients sourced mainly in the EU: Purovitalis sources most of its ingredients within the European Union and manufactures its products in the Netherlands.
- More than 20 years of biochemical expertise: Samo Borko contributes to product development, drawing on his experience in biotechnology, medical biochemistry and liposomal technology.
Liposomal resveratrol from Japanese knotweed
Each Purovitalis capsule contains 250 mg of trans-resveratrol. The micronised extract is processed with sunflower lecithin and MCT in a liposomal preparation. Choose 30 or 60 capsules: the ingredients and dose per capsule are the same in both sizes.
Resveratrol belongs to the stilbene family of plant polyphenols. It occurs naturally in grape skins, some berries and peanuts. Purovitalis uses Japanese knotweed extract, also known by the botanical names Polygonum cuspidatum and Fallopia japonica.
What trans-resveratrol means on the label
The terms trans and cis describe two molecular arrangements of resveratrol. They have the same types and numbers of atoms, arranged differently. Here, 250 mg is the amount of trans-resveratrol itself, rather than the weight of the extract or the whole capsule.

Reading the label
- 250 mg: the trans-resveratrol content of one capsule, which is also the recommended daily dose.
- Micronized: the label's term for finely milled raw material.
- Liposomal: processing with phospholipids supplied by sunflower lecithin.
- 30 or 60 capsules: the number of daily doses in the bottle. Both sizes have the same declared trans-resveratrol content per capsule.
The photograph shows the 30-capsule bottle. The 60-capsule option supplies twice as many daily doses, rather than a higher dose.
Liposomal technology and sunflower lecithin
Liposomal formulations use microscopic vesicles with a membrane made from a double layer of phospholipids. Each phospholipid has a water-attracting part and a water-repelling part, allowing these molecules to form enclosed structures in water. Sunflower lecithin is the source of phospholipids in this product.
The liposomal ingredients are inside the capsule; the outer shell is HPMC. This distinction helps explain the technology when comparing liposomal vitamins and supplements. Absorption figures require studies of the specific preparation; the term “liposomal” alone does not establish a percentage.
Micronisation: a finer raw material
Micronisation mills the raw material into smaller particles. For the same weight, those particles have a greater combined surface area in contact with the surrounding liquid. Particle size affects how the material behaves as it dissolves; the chemical identity and amount of trans-resveratrol remain unchanged.
MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. It is a separate lipid ingredient alongside sunflower lecithin. The label terms micronized and liposomal therefore describe different stages of processing: particle-size reduction and liposomal technology.
Resveratrol and bioavailability
Bioavailability concerns how much of a substance reaches the circulation and in what form. Resveratrol is rapidly metabolised in the gut and liver, producing compounds including glucuronides and sulphates. Researchers distinguish these metabolites from unchanged resveratrol. The research and documentation section includes an original human pharmacokinetic study explaining this distinction.
Resveratrol laboratory reports
Purovitalis publishes raw-material analyses and tests for selected contaminants. The reports identify the sample, batch, methods and individual results.
- Report L-25-06604, 21 August 2025: “Resveratrol Powder”, batch 2060625. NMR analysis measured trans-resveratrol content at 99.0 %, with an uncertainty of ± 3.0 %. The report also covers lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury.
- Document L-26-03375, 30 April 2026: liposomal resveratrol, batch 250623. It covers heavy metals and pesticides and is a reformatted English version of the original laboratory report.
- Raw-material purity and capsule composition are different measurements. The 99.0 % result concerns the powder analysed. A finished capsule also contains lecithin, MCT, other ingredients and its HPMC shell. Match the report's batch number to your bottle.
Choosing resveratrol: liposomal capsules, powder or wholefood grapes?
Compare the amount of trans-resveratrol per daily dose, the processing and the other ingredients. Purovitalis uses micronised trans-resveratrol in a liposomal preparation. L Cell and NAHS offer alternatives with different ingredients and directions.
Purovitalis: no added vitamins or zinc
Each capsule supplies 250 mg of trans-resveratrol, with sunflower lecithin, MCT and other processing ingredients. There are no added vitamins or zinc, so their intake can be assessed separately when choosing other supplements.
L Cell capsules: additional nutrients
L Cell Resveratrol Capsules contain Japanese knotweed extract with zinc and vitamins B1 and D3. Account for these nutrients if you already take supplements containing them.
L Cell powder: an alternative to swallowing capsules
L Cell Resveratrol Powder can be measured and mixed into food as directed. It has its own ingredients and daily dose; a scoop should not be treated as interchangeable with a capsule.
NAHS wholefood Resvital: the grape preparation
Resvital by North American Herb & Spice uses sun-dried red sour grapes. Resveratrol remains within the grape material alongside naturally occurring constituents such as malic and tartaric acids. “Wholefood” describes the retention of that grape material, a different approach from the specified trans-resveratrol content in Purovitalis.

FAQs
How should I read research about resveratrol?
Check the preparation, dose, study duration and participants. Research helps explain resveratrol and its metabolism, while authorised health claims are a separate regulatory question. This page describes verified ingredients, sourcing and processing; original papers and laboratory reports are listed in research and documentation.

Is trans-resveratrol from knotweed different from grape resveratrol?
The trans-resveratrol molecule is the same; the surrounding material differs. A grape preparation retains other naturally occurring grape constituents. Knotweed extract allows trans-resveratrol to be separated and quantified: each Purovitalis capsule contains 250 mg.

What does liposomal resveratrol mean?
It describes processing with phospholipids from sunflower lecithin. Liposomes are microscopic vesicles with a phospholipid membrane, distinct from the outer HPMC capsule shell. The liposomal technology section explains the structure and the role of lecithin. Dutch specialist CureSupport develops and manufactures the preparation.

How does micronisation differ from liposomal processing?
Micronisation reduces particle size; liposomal processing uses phospholipid structures. Both terms appear on the Purovitalis label. They describe processing rather than a measured absorption percentage, which requires studies of the specific preparation.

When should I take it, and do I need fat or yoghurt?
Take one capsule daily with water, preferably in the morning with breakfast. Swallow it whole. Adding oil or emptying the capsule into yoghurt is not part of the Purovitalis directions.
A study of another resveratrol preparation at a 400 mg dose examined the effect of food on absorption. It does not replace the directions for these capsules; the paper is listed in the research section.

Do I need to take NMN or NAD+ as well?
Purovitalis does not require another supplement as part of these directions. The daily dose is one resveratrol capsule. NMN and NAD+ are different substances; any additional product needs its own assessment of ingredients and suitability.

What does the 99.0 % purity result refer to?
The resveratrol powder analysed in report L-25-06604, batch 2060625. NMR analysis measured trans-resveratrol content at 99.0 %, with an uncertainty of ± 3.0 %. It is not the percentage composition of the finished capsule, which has other ingredients. See the laboratory reports for details.

Are the capsules vegan and gluten-free?
Purovitalis identifies this preparation as vegan, gluten-free and free from added sugar. The shell is HPMC rather than animal gelatine, and the lecithin comes from sunflower. If you have a severe allergy, check possible manufacturing traces as well as the ingredient list.

What if I take medicines?
Consult a doctor or pharmacist before starting and show them the full ingredient list. This is particularly relevant to medicines affecting blood clotting. Do not stop prescribed medicines or alter their doses yourself because you are taking a supplement.

How is wholefood Resvital different?
Resvital uses dried grape material; Purovitalis contains a specified amount of trans-resveratrol in a liposomal preparation. In Resvital, resveratrol remains part of the grape material. The comparison of formats explains the differences in ingredients and processing.

Which foods contain resveratrol?
Natural sources include grapes, some berries and peanuts. Amounts vary with the variety and processing. Resveratrol passes from grape skins into wine during production; alcohol is not a recommended way to increase resveratrol intake.

How long should I take it, and are breaks required?
The Purovitalis directions specify one capsule daily, without a fixed course length or compulsory breaks. A bottle contains 30 or 60 daily doses. Discuss longer-term use with a doctor or pharmacist if you have a medical condition or take medicines.
