Supplements
Supplements are easy to find. The harder part is knowing who is actually behind the product. At PraveBio.cz, we choose supplements from original producers and trusted international brands with their own product development, history, expertise and clear origin — not anonymous formulas built only around speed, price and fast-moving trends.
You will find carefully selected vitamins, minerals, probiotics, omega-3, collagen, adaptogens, functional mushrooms and other targeted products. When choosing supplements, we look at the formulation, bioavailability, ingredient origin, active forms and the logic of the whole product.
To make your choice easier, we have organised the category into four subcategories: Shop by health goal, Shop by ingredient, Shop by need and Short-dated offers. You can browse by health goal, including immunity, digestion, energy, sleep, allergies, joints, skin and metabolism, or go straight to specific ingredients and brands we trust, such as Botanicals for Life, North American Herb & Spice, Planet Paleo and Bee&You.

How to choose the right supplement
A good supplement should have a clear reason to be in your routine. Before choosing one, it helps to know what you want to support, which nutrients or active ingredients make sense for that need, and whether the formula suits your diet, lifestyle and current situation.
If you are starting with a specific need, the easiest route is to browse by health goal. This helps you find supplements connected with immunity, digestion, energy, sleep, allergies, joints, skin, hair, nails or metabolism. If you already know which ingredient you are looking for, you can browse by ingredient — for example vitamins, minerals, probiotics, omega-3, collagen, adaptogens, functional mushrooms, amino acids or electrolytes.
What we look for when selecting supplements
At PraveBio.cz, we look at the details that often decide whether a supplement is genuinely worth buying: the form of the nutrient, the dosage, supporting ingredients, raw material origin, production method and the logic of the whole formula.
We prefer products with transparent formulas, clear origin and quality that the producer can support with data — for example laboratory testing, certifications or clinical studies, where relevant for that type of product. We do not choose formulas based only on marketing promises, short-lived trends or the lowest possible price.
For many brands, we are not just a retailer, but also a direct or exclusive distributor for the Czech Republic, Slovakia or Europe. These include, for example, North American Herb & Spice for Europe, Redmond for Europe, Planet Paleo for Europe, Living Nutrition for Europe, Botanicals for Life for Europe, EnergyBits® for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Modern Native for the Czech Republic, Bee&You for the Czech Republic, Mushrooms for Life for Europe, BiOptimizers for the Czech Republic and Jigsaw Health for Europe. This gives us a closer relationship with the producers and a deeper understanding of each product’s origin, formulation, development and production standards.
Bioavailability also matters. Two supplements may contain the same nutrient, but not every form is used by the body in the same way. That is why we look at details such as mineral forms, collagen type and source, specific probiotic strains, omega-3 oil quality, herbal extract ratios and the way active ingredients are combined in the formula.
Supplements for different needs and life situations
Not everyone chooses supplements for the same reason. Some people are looking for everyday nutritional support, while others choose products according to age, lifestyle, dietary restrictions, training load, pregnancy, breastfeeding, travel, recovery or a more demanding period of work. The section Shop by need helps when you do not want to search by individual ingredients, but by who the product is for and what situation they are in.
You will also find the section Short-dated offers. These are discounted products with a short or recently passed best-before date. We only include products that are unopened, clearly marked and suitable for sale, with the date shown transparently on the product page.
Responsible use of supplements
Supplements can be a useful part of looking after your body, but they do not replace a varied diet, medical care or a diagnosis. Always read the label, follow the recommended dosage and check whether the product is suitable for you — especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition. For health-related claims, we follow the principle that claims should be clear, responsible and compliant with authorised nutrition and health claim rules.
Frequently asked questions about supplements
What is the best way to choose a supplement?
Start with a clear reason. Decide whether you are choosing by health goal, by a specific ingredient, or by individual need — such as age, diet, training load, pregnancy, breastfeeding, vegan nutrition, travel, recovery or everyday wellbeing.
Should I have a blood test before choosing supplements?
In some cases, yes. A blood test can be useful if you suspect a nutrient deficiency, feel persistently tired, follow a restrictive diet, are pregnant or breastfeeding, take medication, or want to check levels such as iron, vitamin D, B12 or folate. Not every supplement requires testing, but when symptoms, higher doses or long-term use are involved, it is better to make decisions based on real information rather than guesswork.
What is the difference between shopping by health goal and by ingredient?
Shop by health goal is useful when you know what you want to support — for example immunity, digestion, energy, sleep or joints. Shop by ingredient is better when you already know the nutrient or active ingredient you are looking for, such as magnesium, vitamin D, probiotics, collagen or omega-3.
What does bioavailability mean in supplements?
Bioavailability describes how well a nutrient or active ingredient can be absorbed and used by the body. It can depend on the form of a mineral, the quality of an omega-3 oil, the specific probiotic strain, the type of herbal extract or the way active ingredients are combined in the whole formula.
Can supplements replace a healthy diet?
No. Supplements are designed to complement a varied diet, not replace it. They should be chosen for a clear reason and used according to the recommended dosage on the label.
Can I take several supplements at the same time?
Some supplements can be combined, but it is important to watch the dosage and avoid unnecessary overlap, especially with vitamins, minerals and herbal extracts. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition, speak with a qualified health professional first.
What are short-dated supplements?
Short-dated supplements are discounted products with a short or recently passed best-before date. They are clearly marked, offered at a reduced price and it is always sensible to check the date and product information before use.
