Water Kefir with Lemon and Ginger Flavour postbiotics • fermented lemonade • organic quality • 330 ml
Fermented organic water kefir – a gently sparkling drink made from so-called water kefir grains, which ferment in water with fruit. This natural process produces postbiotics, which support functional hydration. The combination of ginger and lemon provides a tangy fresh taste. No added sugar, suitable for vegans, gluten-free
Water Kefir Lemon & Ginger – Kult Kefir
Lightly sparkling water kefir with lemon tartness and a pronounced ginger kick. Tastes like a craft fermented lemonade, but with low residual sugar. Best enjoyed well chilled.
The drink ferments naturally thanks to kefir crystals, a symbiosis of yeasts and bacteria. The process typically takes 36–48 hours and creates a mildly tangy, fuller flavour profile.
The final drink is gently pasteurised. It does not contain live cultures; the main components are postbiotics and other substances formed during fermentation.

Water Kefir – Live Fermentation, Gentle Bubbles
Water kefir is made from kefir crystals (tibicos) – a symbiosis of yeasts and bacteria. During fermentation in a sugary solution, organic acids and natural bubbles are produced.
Kult Kefir ferments in small batches from organic ingredients for almost 2 days and uses freshly pressed juices (e.g., in the Passion Fruit and Hops flavour) without artificial flavours.
During fermentation, most of the cane sugar is converted into organic acids, giving the drink a mildly tangy taste and low residual sugar.
The drink is bottled in recyclable aluminium cans with a focus on efficient recycling and protection from light. The brand was founded by bioscience engineer Mathilde Riga; the product and recipes are managed internally, and production takes place in Belgium in collaboration with a partner brewery in Antwerp.

FAQ
What exactly does Kult Kefir taste like?
Kult Kefir Lemon & Ginger offers a refreshing sweet and sour profile with gentle fizz. It tastes like a genuine craft lemonade or "ginger beer", but without the sticky mouthfeel caused by excess sugar. The dominant flavour is the freshness of lemon with a warming aftertaste of Peruvian ginger.

Does the drink really contain 0% alcohol?
Yes, the drink is classified as non-alcoholic. It contains less than 0.1% alcohol, which is a trace amount naturally found in regular fruit juices or very ripe fruit. It is therefore safe for drivers and abstainers.

Is the drink suitable for kids and pregnant women?
Yes. Thanks to gentle pasteurisation, the drink is microbiologically stable and safe. Unlike "live" unpasteurised ferments, there is no risk of uncontrolled fermentation, making it an ideal functional alternative to overly sweetened children's drinks.

Can I drink it on a Low-carb or Keto diet?
Definitely. Most of the cane sugar is "consumed" by the kefir culture during the 48-hour fermentation and converted into organic acids. With residual sugar of only 2.4 g per 100 ml, Kult Kefir easily fits into the daily carbohydrate limit of most low-carb diets.

What is the difference between postbiotics in Kult and regular probiotics?
Probiotics are live bacteria, whereas postbiotics are beneficial substances (enzymes, organic acids, peptides) created by these bacteria during fermentation. Postbiotics are more resilient, stable and the body can use them immediately without needing to "settle" in the gut.

Why is Kult Kefir in a can and not in glass?
An aluminium can is ideal for fermented drinks with postbiotics – it 100% blocks light and oxygen, which could degrade the taste and beneficial substances. Moreover, it is lightweight, BPA-free, and one of the most easily recyclable packaging in the Czech Republic.

Does the drink need to be constantly refrigerated?
Thanks to pasteurisation, it does not. Unlike live kombucha, the can won't explode or sour in the heat. However, for maximum taste enjoyment and to preserve the gentle fizz, we recommend storing it cool and serving ice cold.

Is Kult Kefir truly ORGANIC?
Yes, the product is certified for organic farming. To means that both the lemon and ginger juice come from a pure environment free from pesticides, which is crucial for a clean taste and the resulting health benefit.

Why is Kult Kefir more expensive than regular lemonade?
You are paying for the artisan process and ingredients. While regular lemonade is a mix of water, syrup, and flavours ready in minutes, Kult Kefir requires 48 hours of controlled fermentation in small batches under the supervision of a bioengineer and the use of 100% natural BIO cold-pressed juices.

How does Kult Kefir differ from kombucha?
Kombucha is made from tea and often has a very strong, vinegary, and astringent taste. Kult water kefir is milder and more palatable, positioning itself more as a "healthy soft drink". It's ideal for those who find the typical fermented odour of kombucha off-putting.

KULT Kefir is a brand that unites science and the art of fermentation to create naturally sparkling drinks full of probiotics. They are crafted from traditional water kefir grains, without artificial additives, preservatives or refined sugar, with an emphasis on clean ingredients and authentic taste.
It is built on handmade production and a sustainable approach—from carefully selected ingredients to recyclable packaging. It’s a popular choice for those seeking a healthier and functional alternative to conventional soft drinks.

Renowned fermented beverages thanks to:
- Clean formulation — made from water kefir with no artificial additives, no preservatives and minimal processing; each batch delivers naturally occurring postbiotics as the result of authentic fermentation.
- Carefully selected ingredients — every kefir grain arises from natural processes through which values and culture are passed down from generation to generation; the recipe reflects the authenticity and quality of fermentation.
- A fusion of tradition and innovation — unique recipes draw on kefir-grain cultures handed down through generations while leveraging modern insights from the biosciences to achieve exceptional flavour and function.
Who’s behind the Kult Kefir brand
The driving force behind Kult Kefir is Mathilde Riga, a passionate Belgian bioengineer who turned her love of the biological sciences into a delicious fermented drink. Her journey began in her own kitchen, where her mother passed on water kefir grains—and from that moment a vision was born. Blending home experiments with scientific expertise, she created a brand that pushes the boundaries of traditional fermentation.
During her experiments, Mathilde realised that everyday ingredients hold remarkable potential — and in October 2020 she “planted the seeds” of KULT. Since then, she has shaped a brand philosophy grounded in innovation, authenticity and the simple purity of ingredients. KULT emerges as a union of science and art, poured into every bottle that tells a story of passion, quality and nature’s wonder.
The Kult Kefir vision
The vision of Kult Kefir is to push the boundaries of taste and wellbeing and to craft uncompromising fermented drinks, where every sip tells a story of passion, innovation and nature’s wonders.
The brand invites you on a journey through fermentation—to experience KULT and discover something extraordinary in every sip.
It fulfils this vision by combining the biological sciences with the art of fermentation, emphasising authentic processes and honouring the mother culture and the cyclical passing on of kefir grains—from generation to generation.
In this way, Kult blends tradition and innovation into drinks that honour their natural origin and quality craftsmanship.

The name — how it came about and what it stands for
The word “culture” has its root in the Indo-European kwel, denoting a cyclical process.
The name KULT was chosen as a tribute to the unique relationship between water kefir and the idea of culture. Just as cultural heritage is passed from generation to generation, water kefir grains are handed on in an endless cycle.
It also points to the mother culture—the beneficial microorganisms that trigger the fermentation of every new batch.
What is a fermented lemonade?
A fermented lemonade is a naturally sparkling drink created when a culture (for example, water kefir grains) converts part of the sugar from water and fruit during fermentation into organic acids and gentle bubbles of carbon dioxide. The result is a refreshing beverage with lower residual sugar and a complex flavour—entirely different from ordinary sweetened sodas.
According to KULT Kefir, “water kefir is more than just lemonade”: it’s a traditional fermented drink made from fresh fruit and natural botanicals. The brand uses only real ingredients (with no artificial flavours or extracts), favours fresh, cold-pressed juices and ferments the kefir for almost two days to achieve an authentic flavour profile—a natural alternative to conventional sodas.

Fair production and wholesome lemonades

Production and ingredients
KULT lemonades are made in Belgium through artisanal production and in small batches—literally in a microbrewery in Brabant, enabling careful quality control and consistent flavour.
The brand adheres to an organic standard under the supervision of BE-BIO-01 (CERTISYS), the official Belgian organic certification recognised across the EU.
Thanks to its local, small-scale approach, KULT is an honest, authentic drink with a focus on ingredient origin and fair processing.
Flavouring relies on real ingredients—no artificial flavours or extracts. Kult works with a variety of herbs, prioritises fresh, cold-pressed juices and allows the kefir to ferment for almost two days to achieve an authentic flavour profile.
In practice this means recipes like ginger & lemon with a share of ginger and lemon juice, as well as no-sugar variants where a longer fermentation consumes all the sugar—with no sweeteners and no shortcuts.
Is the packaging eco-friendly?
Yes. KULT chooses aluminium cans as a deliberately eco-friendly pack: aluminium can be recycled repeatedly without loss of quality, it’s lightweight and stackable (lower transport emissions) and it also protects the drink better from light and oxygen; the interior has a BPA-free liner.
The brand also asks for proper sorting: cans go into the “blue” bin (metals) and—where glass is used—bottles go into the glass container without the cap. KULT explicitly notes that cans are better for the planet than single-use glass.

Kult Kefir brings you pure taste, gentle refreshment, and naturally occurring postbiotics from authentic fermentation — with no artificial flavours and less sugar than ordinary lemonades.
See for yourself.
