Welcome – we’re Jana and Honza. We founded PraveBio.cz in 2016, building on long-term experience from the UK market, where ingredient quality, transparent formulations and responsible manufacturing are simply expected. Since returning to the Czech Republic in 2020, we have been developing PraveBio.cz as a curated retail and distribution platform, grounded in direct relationships with producers and rigorous selection standards.
Under our company Nuzboz s.r.o., we operate as an exclusive importer and distribution partner for a portfolio of international brands, including Redmond, North American Herb & Spice and Planet Paleo. Today, we represent 50+ established global brands and support their long-term presence across the Czech Republic, Slovakia and selected European markets.
Our adopted dog Beruška was part of this journey from day one. When we took her in from foster care, she was already facing health challenges. With loving care and a stable home, she spent five more years by our side. She passed away in November 2025 due to kidney failure, but she remains a natural part of the story we’ve been building since 2020.
Living and running a business in London gave us first-hand experience of a market where ingredient quality, transparency and responsible production are the norm, not the exception. We discovered brands that take sourcing seriously, prioritise functional formulations and think long-term about sustainability. Bringing this mindset to the Czech market felt natural.
From the outset, our work has been shaped by one principle: we only stand behind products we can verify – through provenance, formulation, and the people who make them. We prioritise quality and expertise over quantity, and treat customer trust as the core value that everything else depends on.
Our first venture began in the UK in 2010: Purely Natural Cosmetics. What started with organic skincare grew, through direct producer partnerships, into specialised food supplements and functional foods. PraveBio.cz continues that approach today – with strict criteria, transparent sourcing, and a distributor’s responsibility for how brands are introduced and supported in-market.
Based in Otrokovice, we run our own e-commerce and wholesale operations, including warehouse facilities and a collection point. This gives us full control over logistics, stock availability and delivery standards.
For most of the brands in our portfolio, we serve as the exclusive importer for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and for selected brands also across wider European markets. We work directly with manufacturers as their local partner and act as a guarantor of product authenticity. Alongside our own retail channels, we supply a wider distribution network and collaborate with established retailers such as cukrfree.cz, brainmarket.cz, rohlik.cz and puravia.cz. Our journey with PraveBio.cz
– our path towards genuinely high-quality organic products
20 years in London
We met in 1998. In 2001, via Scotland, we made our way to London – the city we had dreamed of living and working in. At first, we picked strawberries and raspberries to earn enough to move forward. We had no flat, no job, no visa security – just determination. It marked the beginning of a defining chapter in our lives.
Our first online shop
In 2010, Honza experienced skin irritation caused by a conventional shaving product. That led us to search for natural skincare without harsh ingredients. We discovered an Australian pioneer in certified organic cosmetics and decided to introduce the brand to the UK. What began as a side project alongside full-time work became our first online shop: Purely Natural Cosmetics.
Growing steadily in London
The shop gradually expanded – step by step, without loans or investors. Honza managed the technical infrastructure and logistics; Jana focused on product descriptions and expanding the range. The deeper we immersed ourselves in the field, the clearer it became how essential transparent sourcing, responsible production and honest formulations truly are. Along the way, we also discovered high-quality food producers – and in 2012, we experienced the London Olympics first-hand.
Bringing the same standards to the Czech Republic
In 2016, we launched PraveBio.cz because we could clearly see the gap in the Czech market when it came to quality in organic food and natural skincare. Initially, we developed it gradually while still based in London. In 2019, we introduced another project, GratiaNatura.cz, dedicated exclusively to organic skincare.
Returning home and launching wholesale
In 2020, during the first lockdown, Jana found herself unexpectedly back in the Czech Republic. We decided to fully commit to developing PraveBio.cz and, at the same time, launched our wholesale operations. Among our first partners were Puravia and Cukrfree. Soon after, we both chose to return permanently and continue building our work here – with a clear ambition: to bring brands to the Czech and Slovak markets that meet rigorous standards of quality and transparency.
Growing and discovering new brands
Since returning, we have grown steadily – both in retail and wholesale. Outside work, we value time in the garden and outdoors. Whenever possible, we swim in the local lake in Otrokovice – in summer and in winter alike.
A new warehouse and further collaborations
In 2025, we moved into larger warehouse premises within the former Baťa industrial complex in Otrokovice and relocated our collection point there as well. We are also preparing new collaborations and recording in-depth interviews with our producers, allowing us to share their values, processes and expertise more openly with you.
New identity and website redesign
In 2025, we also introduced a refreshed logo and visual identity for PraveBio.cz, alongside improvements to the online shop itself. We continue refining the experience, gradually adding new features to make your shopping journey even more seamless.
