Brand's website: Pony-OPony-O's flagship product, the unique hair accessory and slightly different "elastics" for creating high ponytails, called ponytails, was invented by its founder Nicole and her partner Beth back in 1987. She couldn't use classic cloth elastics in her thick curly hair - they were uncomfortable to wear, pulled her hair, didn't hold her hairstyle, pulled her hair out unnecessarily when taking it off, etc. No other alternative was available on the market.
