Adaptogens
Adaptogens are herbs or mushrooms that have been used for their effects by traditional cultures for thousands of years. These plants are characterised by growing in very unfavourable conditions - in severe frosts, drought or at high altitudes. They were able to adapt to the inhospitable conditions and survive. They have the ability to create a lot of protective and defensive substances, which you can then draw from them. Adaptogenic herbs increase the body's overall resistance to stress and improve the ability to cope with changing living conditions - to adapt.
The most powerful and well-known adaptogens include maca, ginseng, ashwaganda, holy basil, rhodiola or vital mushroomssuch as reishi, chaga, lion's mane or cordyceps.
